Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty received sixty golden ruyi on his birthday. They used more than 40,000 grams of gold and were very popular with Emperor Qianlong. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Lingzhi-shaped ruyi was a valuable gift for praying.
