The “Five Emperors Money” refers to the copper coins minted during the five most powerful emperors of the Qing Dynasty (Shunzhi, Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong, Jiaqing), which were used to symbolize the prosperity of the country during the period of their reign, and are meant to “promote wealth, calm the house, neutralize evil spirits, and attract good fortune”.
There are three common choices for the number of Wudiqian: three, five and ten, each of which has its own specific meaning and purpose.
- Three Wudiqian represent the “Three Talents”, i.e. the three talents of Heaven, Earth and Humans, which signifies smooth sailing and attracts good fortune.
- Five Wudi Qian symbolizes the five elements of the eight trigrams, can balance the five elements, play a role in resolving the role of bad luck.
- Ten Wudiqian symbolizes ten perfect, often used to dissolve the door to door or door to stove and other bad luck.
Why is the “five coins” the most classic?
1. Corresponding to the five emperors: Shunzhi, Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong and Jiaqing.
2. Balance of the five elements: gold, wood, water, fire, earth, yin and yang harmony
3. Five guardian: east, south, west, north, center, to suppress the house and ward off evil spirits.
In feng shui, it is believed that “five pieces” can best represent the Qi of the five emperors, forming a complete aura, which can both neutralize evil spirits and attract wealth, and is the most recommended number.
1. For daily wear, use in car or purse: 3 or 5 pieces are enough.
2. At the door of your home or in the arrangement to neutralize bad luck: 5 or 6 pieces are recommended.
3. Feng Shui layout to enhance the effect: 6 pieces, 10 pieces or a full set of coins can be considered (with professional layout).
9 coins Although it represents the “extreme number” and “supreme”, it is easy to be overly impulsive and can not be suppressed, but it will be reversed. It is mostly used for high-level feng shui layout, not for general use.
